French breakfast classics at Maison Pradier
Paris without any doubt can be called the capital of bakeries, pastry shops and desserts. I know for sure every true Parisian (born or re-born in Paris) has his or her "own" and special places with the most delicious baguette, the most crispy croissant or the sweetest dessert. As for me I have several favorite places, but I am always open for the new and happy to discover hidden treasures of the city. It so happened with Maison Pradier: in search of a new place for Sunday coffee with a croissant, we chose a bakery on the left bank, Maison Pradier Saint Michel, and were not mistaken with the choice!
Париж, без лишней скромности, можно назвать столицей булочных и десертов. Наверняка у каждого истинного парижанина (родившегося здесь, или же переродившегося) есть "свои" места: с любимым багетом, любимым круассаном или десертом. У меня самой есть несколько любимых мест, но это не мешает мне продолжать открывать для себя новые, неожиданные! Так получилось с домом Maison Pradier: в поисках нового места для воскресного кофе с круассаном, мы выбрали булочную на левом берегу, Maison Pradier Saint Michel, и не ошиблись с выбором!
Despite the long history of the house, which began back in 1859, Maison Pradier Saint Michel very harmoniously combines the traditions of the French house with modern, cozy Parisian design. To date, 10 bakery restaurants Maison Pradier have been opened in Paris. Including the ones in the most picturesque quarters of the city: at the Champs-Elysées, on rue Saint-Honore or on Boulevard Saint-Michel. Moreover, in addition to the traditional bakery with baguettes, croissants and pains au chocolat, there is a huge selection of wonderful desserts, especially the chocolate eclair which was elected the best one in all Paris!
For those who prefer more dense breakfasts than french classic coffee and croissant, Maison Pradier prepared a whole menu of salads, sandwiches and quiches: all dishes are home made in Maison Pradier's kitchens in the suburbs of Paris, in Sevres, and freshly delivered to the bakeries twice a day.
Несмотря на длинную историю дома, начавшуюся в далеком 1859 году, Maison Pradier на Saint Michel очень гармонично сочетает в себе традиции французской пекарни и современный, уютный парижский дизайн. На сегодняшний день в Париже открыто уже 10 булочных-ресторанов, в самых живописных кварталах города: у Елисейских полей, на улице Сант-Оноре или на бульваре Сан-Мишель. Более того, помимо традиционной булочной с багетами и круассанами, здесь огромный выбор чудесных десертов, а шоколадный эклер Maison Pradier был признан лучшим в Париже!
Для любителей более плотных завтраков, Maison Pradier подготовил целое меню из салатов, сендвичей и кишей: все блюда готовятся на собственных кухнях дома, в пригороде Парижа и совсем свежими доставляются в булочные дважды в день.
But for me, as a visual person, the icing on the cake was to find those beautiful panoramic windows on the first floor of the Maison Pradier Saint Michel!!! I have long been looking for a similar place for an "urban meditation". A place where you can just sit calmly, drink your morning coffee and watch the life of a city. Taking a seat in a cozy leather chair by the window overlooking the lacy balconies of the houses of the Boulevard Saint Michele, with a cup of coffee in my hands, I simply could not tear myself away from the most magic picture: a picture of Paris waking up on a sunny spring Sunday!
Но еще меня, как визуала, пособенно покорили панорамные окна во всю стену на втором этаже Maison Pradier на Saint Michel!!! Я давно искала подобное место для "городской медитации", где можно просто пить кофе и наблюдать за неспешной жизнью города. Заняв место в уютном кожаном кресле у окна с видом на кружевные балконы домов бульвара Сан-Мишель, с чашкой кофе в руках, я просто не могла оторваться от самого любимого вида: утреннего пробуждающегося весеннего Парижа!
