Long weekend in Paris: my address book
Right after our trip to Biarritz, my friend came to visit us in Paris (those who read my blog for a while now are probably familiar with her posts about books, videos or podcasts on blog). Our plan for the long weekend together was simple - walk, walk and walk despite the rainy and windy weather. Nastya has lived in Paris herself for a couple of months so she is very familiar with Paris, that's why our walking routes were rather spontaneous than tourist: we enjoyed our walks with no particular destination goal, coffee and meetings with friends. But however, we managed to visit such famous sights as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame de Paris, the Louvre and so on.
This post is more like the address book with my short notes about favourite spots in Paris. I also came up with a Google map with all the locations from this post, for you easier to use as you can locate yourself over the nearest coffee/lunch spot for example.
Сразу после нашей поездки в Биарриц, буквально на следующий день, к нам в гости приехала моя подруга Настя Мозговая (те, кто давно читают мой блог, наверняка знакомы с Настей по постам с подборками книг, видео или подкастов для изучения французского). План был прост - гулять, гулять и еще раз гулять вопреки совсем невесенней дождливой и ветреной погоде. Настя давно знакома с Парижем, поэтому наши маршруты были скорее спонтанные, чем туристические: мы наслаждались прогулками, кофе и встречам с друзьями. Но тем не менее, мы успели побывать и у Эйфелевой башни, Нотр-Дама, Лувра и проч.
Этот пост я решила сделать в форме заметок с нашими давно проверенными и любимыми адресами, на которые вы можете обратить внимание гуляя по Парижу (а в самом конце поста есть карта с со всеми адресами).

A tiny cafe in the Galerie de Montpensier in the Palais Royal garden, we always take coffee to go and drink it sitting on green chairs by the fountain in the park.

Baguett's coffee, 33 Rue de Richelieu, 75001 Paris
A nice cafe in a stone's throw from the Palais Royal, we ran there to hide from the rain, and accidentally discovered the most delicious chai latte.

Breakfast at Le Dome, 4 Avenue de Villiers, 75017 Paris
I love this place for a wide terrace and French breakfast (coffee/orange fresh/croissant) for 7.5 euros.

Tea salon and pastry shop has a decent selection of beautiful desserts.

Once my all time favourite coffee shop, today there are too many people there every day... But still, they offer the creamiest latte in Paris.

As for me, the best view of the Cathedral opens from the Pont de l'Archeveche.

Jardin du Palais Royal
Favourite garden in Paris. I love everything about this place: the light, colors, cozy green chairs, calmness and magnolia trees in the spring.

Opera Garnier
The Grande Opera de Paris is majestic! If you do not have enough time for a trip to Versailles, then go to see an opera or ballet (or just make a guided visit) to the Opera Garnier to appreciate the amplitude and grandeur of the French kings.

Le Petit Palais + Jardin du Petit Palais
A beautiful little garden, probably the first place in all Paris where comes the Spring. The entrance to the Petit Palais museum is free for the permanent art collections. After the museum tour, go to the tea room in the garden, sit at the gorgeous marblewith a book and appreciate the beauty of this little urban oasis.
Прекрасный маленький сад, куда весна приходит раньше всех в Париже. Вход в музей Petit Palais бесплатный. В саду есть чайный салон и расставлены мраморные столики и скамейки. Можно часами просидеть с книгой.
Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent, 5 Avenue Marceau, 75116 Paris
Nastya visited the Yves Saint Laurent museum without me, but she shared her impressions: the museum is relatively new in Paris (opened its doors just a few months ago); they have a permanent exhibition with YSL and Pierre Bergé video interviews, iconic fashion pieces, YSL's work place with all the sketches and mood boards.
В музей Ив Сен Лорана Настя ходила без меня, но поделилась впечатлениями: в недавно открывшем свои двери доме-музее Ив Сен Лорана проходит постоянная экспозиция с видео-интервью дуэта Лоран/Берже, можно посмотреть на модели, сделавшие из дизайнера легенду, увидеть его рабочее место (стол, мудборды).
Monmartre & Fotomaton, 53 Rue des Trois Frères, 75018 Paris
You rather love or hate Montmartre: very photogenic, but always overcrowded with people. Therefore, we somehow avoided Montmartre all the days except the last one: after coffee in Cuiller we spontaneously went for a short walk there (actually we were looking for a croissant). And on the street Les Trois Freres, just in front of the little shop from the Amelie movie, we came across a beautiful photomat.
Монмартр довольно контрастное место: очень фотогеничное, но кишащее толпами людей. Поэтому мы как-то его обходили все дни, кроме последнего: просто спонтанно после кофе в Cuiller пошли куда глаза глядят. И на улице Les Trois Freres, прямо напротив овощной лавки из фильма Амели, мы наткнулись на фотомат.
Parc Monceau
Very quiet and beautiful park in the center of the 17th arrondissement. Here you rarely see tourists, but crowds of running locals on the weekend. In Parc Monceau you can come with a dog, and in the summer, take an afternoon picnic on a huge lawn.
Очень спокойный и красивый парк в центре 17 округа. Здесь редко встретишь туристов, зато по выходным в парке очень много парижан на пробежке, здесь можно гулять с собакой, а летом разместиться на послеполуденный пикник на огромном газоне.
Pont Alexandre III and river banks
The also called Russian bridge is with no doubt the most spectacular bridge in Paris. I like to go down on the Seine bank to watch it from a side. Русский мост без сомнений самый масштабный мост в Париже. А я даже больше люблю панораму на него с набережной Сены.
Shopping
L'Appartement Sezane, 1 rue saint Fiacre 75002 Paris
Beautiful and cozy store L'Appartement Sezane is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a French brand loved and worn by locals. We love it for its warm atmosphere of a huge Parisian loft, a decent selection of clothes and lifestyle items, and a free photomat as a bonus! It's nice to visit, even if you had no plan for shopping.
Необычный по формату и уюту магазин L'Appartement Sezane (квартира Сезан) как раз то самое место, куда нужно приходить, если вы ищите французский, пока что не сильно растиражированный по всему миру, бренд. Атмосфера, подборка одежды и предметов интерьера, даже бесплатная фотобудка. Здесь приятно находиться, даже если вы не планируете совершать покупки.
Just behind the wall of the coffee shop is this legendary bookstore with low ceilings, endless shelves and an incredibly photogenic facade (which very soon, plus everything, will be surrounded by blossoming cherry blossoms)
Буквально за стеной кофейни находится этот легендарный книжный магазин с низкими потолками, бесконечными полками и невероятно фотогеничным фасадом (который совсем скоро, плюс ко всему, будет окружен цветущими сакурами)
Gallerie Vivienne, 5 Rue de la Banque, 75002 Paris
Covered passageways can be considered as the very first kind shopping centers in Paris. Unless in the shopping malls there is still a magical atmosphere and chic in Parisian passages: warm light, glass windows, old bookshops. Perfect for a rainy day.
Крытые пассажи в Париже - это предок современных торговый центров. Разве что в пассажах по-прежнему царит волшебная атмосфера и уют: теплый свет, стеклянные витрины, книжные лавки. Безупречный вариант для пасмурного дня.
Printemps Department Store, 64 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
To be honest, even if Printemps is one of the most famous shopping spots in Paris, I love to come here for the view from its terrace. You should go up to the food floor (Printemps Gourmet), sometimes they put the sigh "For the guest of the restaurant only".
Если честно, несмотря на то, что Printemps - это один из главных департмент сторов города, я сюда прихоже в основном за прекрасным видом с его терассы. Для этого нужно подняться на 8 этаж до Гастрономического этажа (Printemps Gourmet). Правда в последнее время, на выходе не терассу они стали ставить знак (Только для посетителей).
